Congratulations to Douglas Hamill
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Douglas Hamill on being the first Kirkcaldy resident to be awarded Maundy Money by The Queen; understands that this award is a rare and high honour that is awarded to individuals who have given an outstanding contribution to their church or community; notes that Douglas worked in the Michael Nairn and Company linoleum factory for 24 years, was a Special Constable with Fife Constabulary for 40 years and has served his local church in various roles throughout his life, and recognises the outstanding example that he sets as a citizen of Kirkcaldy.
