Caithness, Focal Point of Scottish Family History at National Conference
The motion
That the Parliament recognises Caithness on hosting the 30th annual conference of the Scottish Association of Family History Societies; commends the Caithness Family History Society for hosting the conference for the first time and for providing an inviting, friendly atmosphere; notes that the event hosts more than 40 delegates from Orkney to the Borders, specialists from organisations such as Fundmypast, GenealogyUK and the Association of Scottish Genealogical Researchers in Archives, and supports family history enthusiasts on their quests to investigate their Scottish roots.
