The Polar Academy
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the achievement of 10 pupils from Bathgate Academy who participated in a 10-day expedition to Eastern Greenland with the youth charity, The Polar Academy; understands that the mission included tough physical training and activities, which resulted in the pupils developing resilience and self-confidence; notes that this achievement was celebrated at a ceremony in Dundas Castle near Edinburgh where pupils were awarded the prestigious polar medal, and wishes all pupils who participated in this challenge all the very best for the future.
