New Digital Campaign Aims to Generate £1 Million for the Economy
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the launch of Must Sea Scotland, a new digital campaign that aims to generate £1 million for the economy by inspiring visitors to get on a boat in 2020 to enjoy some of Scotland’s amazing places, islands and experiences; recognises that the campaign has been supported by £22,500 from VisitScotland’s Growth Fund; notes that it will use 360 degree virtual reality videos of must-visit locations around Scotland’s coast to encourage visitors from the UK to take to the water during the Year of Coast and Waters in 2020; understands that the campaign was launched at Inverkip’s Kip Marina in the Greenock and Inverclyde constituency, and hopes that the campaign, which is led by Sail Scotland in partnership with the National Trust for Scotland, Diageo and CalMac, will boost tourism in Scotland and highlight the natural beauty that is often taken for granted.
