International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia
The motion
That the Parliament recognises 17 May 2019 as international day against homophobia, transphobia and biphobia (IDAHOT); recognises the opportunity of the day to raise awareness of the human rights of LGBTI people; understands that 72 countries and territories still criminalise same-sex relations between consenting adults and that only 63 countries provide some form of anti-discrimination protection for LGBTI people, and considers that this is a day to celebrate diversity and to focus on justice and protection for all.
