Linda Tierney
The motion
That the Parliament pays tribute to Linda Tierney, an inspirational West Lothian fundraiser who raised thousands of pounds prior to her death in January 2019; welcomes the recent posthumous award made by Marie Curie to Linda recognising her fundraising efforts and for speaking about living with terminal cancer; salutes Linda’s courage in focusing on fundraising work after learning in 2016 that her previously diagnosed ovarian cancer had spread to other organs; recognises her work in achieving a number one charity single, Gorgeous, which was performed by Chris Onslow, and the launch of Livi Aid Live at Livingston FC, which was a day-long live entertainment event; offers condolences to Linda’s family and friends, and celebrates a life that has achieved so much for others.
