Queen Margaret University Researcher in Top 100 of Nation’s Lifesavers
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the significant contribution of universities to the everyday life of the nation, which is celebrated through the launch of the Universities UK campaign, MadeAtUni; congratulates Dr Sara Wood, a clinical phonetics researcher and speech and language therapist at Queen Margaret University, on being named one of the campaign’s top 100 individuals or groups whose work makes a life-changing difference to the nation’s health and wellbeing for her transformative work with children experiencing long-term speech communication problems; welcomes the campaign’s efforts in bringing to life the wonderful and often unexpected work going on every day in universities, and celebrates the people working to make a life-changing difference to Scotland and beyond who are highlighted through this campaign.
