Europe in the Palm of Your Hand

That the Parliament notes the launch of the EU citizens’ app, Europe in the palm of your hand, which is available in 28 languages and provides a wide range of information regarding the work of the EU across all sectors, its achievements and future goals; welcomes the map tool, which allows users to zoom in on distinct areas of the EU and discover what support they have received; notes that this includes the Dundee and Angus area, which has received support including the 2017-20 European Social Fund providing a £2.9 million grant to help with the running of Dundee Money Action, the provision of 12 hydrogen cell buses, which have been paid for by the £22 million Europe-wide JIVE 2 project, and the provision of a £55 million loan from the European Investment Bank to develop a municipal solid waste incineration plant that will co-generate heat and electricity for industrial use, and believes that increased awareness of the work of the EU goes hand-in-hand with a greater understanding of the shared values and benefits that EU membership brings.
