Newmains Community Trust Receives Life Changes Trust Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Newmains Community Trust (NCT) on its recent Life Changes Trust award; notes that the award is in recognition of the community centre's work helping people with dementia; highlights that the trust was established by the National Lottery Community Fund in 2013 with an endowment of £50 million to support transformational improvement in quality of life, wellbeing, empowerment and the inclusion of two key groups in Scotland, people affected by dementia and care experienced young people; notes that the award to the centre is to further the work of the dementia-friendly NCT project, and wishes the centre and the project well in all their future endeavours.
