The Symphony of Dreams Trust
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates The Symphony of Dreams Trust on celebrating 19 years of charitable work; notes that the Symphony of Dreams has helped 7,270 children in Scotland who are disabled, seriously unwell or in hospice care, by providing musical experiences; further notes that this has included introducing children to their favourite musicians, providing a children’s hospital with a music library of instruments, music lessons and performance opportunities, among other experiences; understands that 415 children have had their personal musical dreams come true; acknowledges that the founder, Linda Ann McConnell MBE, received the Golden Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service in 2013; commends the charity’s dedicated work toward making musical dreams come true, and wishes the charity well in its future endeavours.
