British Championship Success for North Lanarkshire Schools Pipe Band
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates North Lanarkshire Schools Novice A Pipe Band and Novice A Drumming on being crowned British Pipe Band Champions at the British Championships held in Paisley; understands that 118 pipe bands and 30 drum majors from Belgium, Denmark, the United States, Eire, England, Northern Ireland and Scotland competed in what is the first championships of the pipe band season; congratulates the Novice B Junior Band, which finished in sixth place; acknowledges the hard work and dedication of all those involved, and wishes them well for the rest of the season.
