Funding Success for Samba Ya Bamba
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow-based Samba Ya Bamba on receiving £48,880 from the Big Lottery Fund's Young Start programme; notes that the group will use the funding to continue to deliver its youth band project for the next two years; understands that the project will seek to engage 500 young people from across Glasgow, as well as taking on four volunteers; further understands that approximately 50 young people will be involved in the ongoing youth band work, with the remaining 450 reached through nine one-off taster workshops, and congratulates everyone involved in Samba Ya Bamba’s continued success.
