Aberdeen Sports Centre Honoured at National Awards Ceremony
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Sport Aberdeen on winning two awards at the Community Leisure UK Awards; understands that Sheddocksley Sports Centre won the Leisure Capital Project of the Year after undergoing a £350,000 revamp; acknowledges that the chairwoman of Aberdeen’s Active Girls Committee, Aimee Work, won the Outstanding Volunteer Award; recognises that Sport Aberdeen was the only authority across the UK to take home two awards in one night, and supports its vision of creating opportunities, inspiring people and changing lives through sport and physical activity.
