Get Yer Kilt On
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates the 2019 Aberdeen Kiltwalk on 2 June, which will wind its way alongside the mighty River Dee from Potarch Park to PeterCulter, finishing in the majestic and award winning Duthie Park; hopes that this year’s kiltwalks in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh will see even more funds raised for charities across the nation and build on last year’s record breaking achievement, which saw £5 million raised by over 20,000 ‘Kilties’ for an amazing 1,156 charities; commends the inspirational actions of Sir Tom Hunter and the Hunter Foundation for pledging to top up any funds raised for charity by 40%, which saw an extra £1.4 million go to charities in 2018, and wishes everyone taking part, whether they are Mighty Striders, Big Strollers or Wee Wanderers, a "braw" day.
