Scottish Music Centre Mentoring Project Funding
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the £90,000 awarded to the Glasgow-based Scottish Music Centre through the Big Lottery Fund's Young Start programme; understands that the funding will be used to provide free music-based mentoring, tuition and group activities to over 250 care experienced young people aged eight to 24 across Scotland; acknowledges that the two-year project will continue from its initial pilot with the aim to improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of participants, and wishes the project and participants every success.
