The Military Museum Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Military Museum Scotland, which is based at the Scottish War Blinded Estate at Wilkieston, on winning the Tourist Attraction of the Year category at the Scottish Hospitality Awards; understands that the museum, which was opened in 2017 by ex-soldier, Ian Inglis, is growing, not only in size, but also in popularity; believes that it has gone from strength to strength in educating young people and as a social and support hub for veterans, and considers that it plays an important part in paying tribute to the servicemen and women who serve or have served the country.
