Thorn Athletic, Thorn Athletic Caledonian Premier League Winners
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Johnstone-based team, Thorn Athletic, on winning the 2018-19 Caledonian Premier League following a 2-1 victory over Wishaw AFC on 18 May; believes that, with the league being highly competitive and featuring very strong teams, this is a massive achievement for the club and its players; notes that it follows the team winning the William Turner Challenge Cup against Dalziel on 3 May; congratulates it on this fantastic double, and wishes the club and its squad all the best.
