As an amendment to motion S5M-17504 in the name of Dean Lockhart (Realising Scotland's Potential), leave out from "and long-term growth" to end and insert "is an inadequate measure due to its failure to reflect economic inequality, human wellbeing or environmental impacts; recognises that the Scottish Government’s Economic Strategy is predicated on sustainable growth, which is a flawed and contradictory concept, and calls on the Scottish Government, while continuing to pursue greater self-government for Scotland, to use its existing powers to introduce a new policy framework to address the structural challenges facing the Scottish economy, including an urgent transition to sustainability and a radical reduction in inequality."
