Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Week
The motion
That the Parliament expresses its support for Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Week 2019, which will take place from the 17 to 23 June; understands the importance of access to supported self-management courses and of education for GPs and health care professionals; notes that, according to a National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) report, the condition effects 400,000 people in the UK, meaning that there are over 600 people in each constituency with the disease; recognises the importance of early diagnosis and the need to raise awareness, and pays tribute to the NRAS for its commitment to raising public perception of this incurable autoimmune disease.
