RCGP Report, From the Frontline: The Changing Landscape of Scottish General Practice
The motion
That the Parliament notes the recent report from the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) published on 5 June 2019; recognises the stark findings of the report and the danger to the wellbeing of both GPs and patients in the current system; notes the RCGP’s call for comprehensive change, including longer appointment times, urgent investment in IT within health systems and an increase to 11% of the Scottish health budget for general practice, and urges the Scottish Government to act swiftly on these findings for the benefit of all those involved in Scottish healthcare.
