Aberdeen Reads!
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Aberdeen City Libraries summer reading challenge, Aberdeen Reads!; commends this innovative approach to encourage reading and library use; notes that the challenge is to read for at least six minutes every day; acknowledges that anything that entrants enjoy reading counts, including picture books, hardbacks, paperbacks, e-books, talking books, magazines, news articles; understands that all Aberdonians are invited to take part and that prizes can be won; encourages participants to attend the free events taking place in libraries throughout the holiday period, and wishes Aberdeen City Libraries every success with this exciting challenge.
