ASDA Foundation Green Tokens Coatbridge

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the local charities that have successfully won grant funding through the Asda Foundation’s Green Token Giving programme in its Coatbridge store; understands that this involves giving each customer a token to vote for their preferred local project each time that they shop from a shortlist nominated by local communities; notes that the winner of the most recent customer vote in Coatbridge was Lanarkshire Cancer Care, which will receive £500, while the two runners-up, Rotary Club of Coatbridge, Airdrie and Monklands and The Les Hoey Dream Maker Foundation, each received £200; welcomes the Asda Foundation’s support for local community projects; thanks all the customers of Asda Coatbridge for taking part, and wishes the Green Token Giving programme continued success.
