Shelter Funding Success for Glasgow
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Shelter on receiving a £345,306 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland; understands the charity will use the funding to prevent children and families in Glasgow from becoming homeless; believes that the new service will help families that are at risk of being homeless or in temporary accommodation, secure safe and affordable permanent accommodation that suits their needs using a Personal Housing Plan created by the family and the local authority housing officer; notes that the project will involve 300 people and 10 volunteers over three years, and thanks them for their commitment to tackling homelessness.
