Anita Angier Wins Outstanding Primary Science Teacher Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Anita Angier from Shapinsay School on being presented with the Outstanding Primary Science Teacher award by the Primary Science Teachers Trust; understands that the UK-wide award is aimed at recognising teachers who do an excellent job at raising the profile and quality of science teaching at primary school level; notes that Anita was the only teacher from Scotland to receive the honour in 2019 and, as part of the award, she is now a member of the Teachers Trust where she can receive additional training, meet other award winners and visit other schools to continue to develop her skills and knowledge; recognises the tremendous contribution that Anita has made to science teaching at Shapinsay School, and wishes her every future success as she continues to inspire her pupils to take a keen interest in learning science.
