South Ayrshire Women's Aid National Lottery Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates South Ayrshire Women's Aid on receiving £118,302 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the group aims to use the funding to employ a specialist support worker who will deliver flexible person-centred support to local women whose mental health has suffered as a consequence of domestic abuse; notes that the specialist support worker will also work to improve the mental health, self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing of those women by introducing bespoke coping strategies and techniques to reduce anxiety and stress; notes that the project aims to support 200 people over three years, and wishes South Ayrshire Women’s Aid well with this, and all future work.
