Clerkhill Primary School Wins YESC Club of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Clerkhill Primary School in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, on winning the Club of the Year category at the Scottish Council for Development and Industry Young Engineers and Science Clubs Scotland (YESC) National Celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM); considers that STEM subjects represent a significant opportunity for future generations; welcomes the encouragement that awards such as this create; notes that more than 300 young people from over 50 schools from across Scotland were represented and showcased their projects to compete for the Club of the Year titles in primary and secondary categories; acknowledges the hard work, talent and ingenuity shown by the pupils of Clerkhill Primary School in winning such an award; believes them to be a credit to their school and the north east of Scotland; commends them on this achievement, and wishes them continued success in the future.
