Glasgow Taxis' Annual Children's Trip to Troon

The motion

That the Parliament notes that 19 June 2019 will see the 74th Glasgow taxis' annual children's day trip to Troon; thanks all of the cabbies who take part in this wonderful day, which, each year, sees more than 100 drivers give up their time to take over 300 young people who require additional support to the seaside town; acknowledges that the day would not be possible without the support of many volunteers, supporters, schools, parents and relatives and, of course, the cabbies themselves, who give up their time, dress up their cabs and set the tone for the event; acknowledges the thousands of well-wishers who line the route every year; notes that the taxis set off at Kelvin Way in the west end and make their way to city centre and the south side before moving onward to Ayrshire, and hopes that the children and everyone involved with this year's event have a great and memorable day.
