Kirkcaldy Race for Life
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Alistair and Libby Gavin on being selected to ring the starting bell of the Kirkcaldy Race For Life; understands that the pair are raising money for Cancer Research UK in memory of their father who died from cancer aged 59; recognises that £500 million has been raised for cancer research through race for life sponsorships since the first event in 1994; notes that 2019 will be the first year that men will be allowed to participate in the Race For Life across the UK, and commends all those who took part in the race.
