The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Deanburn Primary School on winning the 2019 Church of Scotland Moderator’s Prize for its partnership work with Café Connect, which is based at Bo’ness Old Kirk; understands that the Café Connect partnership between the local church and school brings children with additional support needs together with older local people to run a café and become more involved with the life of the local community; commends the work of the Church of Scotland in its outreach into the communities that they serve by various means, including activity groups and voluntary organisations; supports the aims of the Café Connect partnership between the school and Bo’ness Old Kirk in encouraging more groups like this to follow their inspiration in their own communities; congratulates everyone involved on winning the Moderator’s Prize, and wishes them continued success for Café Connect and in all of their future endeavours.
