Hospital Staff Concerned for Safety
The motion
That the Parliament understands that employees of St John’s Hospital in Livingston have flagged concerns about their safety in relation to the parking situation; believes that employees have been forced to park offsite in the surrounding area, which has resulted in what it considers to be legitimate safety concerns; understands that many staff members must walk through dimly lit areas to reach their vehicles, and that some have experienced significant damage to their vehicles; believes that the safety and protection of St John’s employees is paramount, and calls on NHS Lothian to urgently produce a strategy that will solve what it sees as these significant parking problems at the hospital once and for all.
