Kilwinning Academy Well-Being Hub
The motion
That the Parliament recognises Kilwinning Academy for launching a new Well-Being Hub for mental health; recognises that it helps to support pupils to look after their mental health by providing them with self-care and self-help strategies; notes that mentors are trained in Scottish Mental Health First Aid and include staff from the local charities, Beautiful Inside and Out and Barnardo’s, school chaplains and peers, and commends the headteacher, Tim Swan, and all at Kilwinning Academy for the continued compassion and commitment to improve the lives of their pupils.
