Awards for All Grant for Barrhead Amateur Boxing Club

That the Parliament congratulates Barrhead Amateur Boxing Club on securing a £5,000 Awards for All Scotland grant from sportscotland; notes that the club was founded in 1976 and has been offering the local community the opportunity to participate in boxing for over 40 years; recognises that it has been built up by the hard work and dedication of its members and continues to rely on a strong and active volunteering network; further recognises that the club is committed to being a strong community-led organisation that enables children and adults to pursue a healthy lifestyle while also developing discipline and dedication; understands that this funding will go towards purchasing new boxing equipment for the club’s move from East Renfrewshire Council premises to its own premises in Barrhead, and wishes all coaches, volunteers and members every success with the club’s move and in their future endeavours.
