Double Gold for Irvine's Kenzie Stewart
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates 13-year-old Kenzie Stewart on winning double gold at the World Union of Karate Do Federations World Championships in Slovakia; understands that Kenzie, who was representing Irvine Takeda and the Scottish Karate Union, won gold in individual fighting (kumite) and individual patterns (kata); notes that he also won silver as part of a three-man team; understands there were 2,300 athletes from 42 countries competing; commends Kenzie for his exceptional athleticism, and wishes him continued success for the future.
