Free Eye Tests for Chernobyl Kids
The motion
That the Parliament recognises Specsavers Irvine for giving 10 children from Belarus a free eye test and glasses; understands that the children were visiting Scotland on a four-week recuperation holiday organised by Chernobyl Children’s Life Line; understands that the visit boosts the children’s immune systems for at least two years, helping them to resist or recover from serious illness; acknowledges the human consequences of the Chernobyl disaster, and commends the compassion of the store director, Gillian Syme, and all the staff at Specsavers Irvine.
