Bo’ness Academy Community Café Social Enterprise Education Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Bo’ness Academy on receiving a Change award at the recent Social Enterprise Education Awards held in Edinburgh; notes that the award, presented by the Deputy First Minister, was given to the school for its Community Café, which has been running since 2013 and promotes an ethos of complete inclusion, allowing for fun and friendship while ensuring that everyone is welcomed and valued; understands that the café provides access to the school environment for the wider community, giving an opportunity for interacting with young people and encouraging inter-generational engagement; encourages all schools to take inspiration from Bo’ness Academy’s example, and wishes everyone involved continued success for the future.
