Birsay Kids Club in Orkney Receives Lottery Funding

That the Parliament congratulates Birsay Kids Club in Orkney on receiving a £5,000 Awards for All Scotland grant from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the group will use the funding to purchase new sports equipment and garden supplies to increase the number of activities that the club provides to children in Birsay; notes that the club already offers a wide range of activities all year round, including arts and crafts, outings and community projects; recognises the importance of the kids club to developing new skills, experiences and friendships; commends the parents and volunteers who not only work hard to deliver the programme but also continually fundraise so that they can reach even more families in the community, and wishes them the very best as the club continues to grow.
