Falkirk’s First Food and Drink Festival
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Falkirk town centre’s first ever food and drink festival, which took place from 12 to 15 June 2019; understands that the festival featured traders and stall holders from across the world selling their fare, while activities and workshops were provided for children alongside a range of on-street entertainment for everyone to enjoy; recognises that the festival happened as a result of discussions between town centre businesses and the Falkirk Develops BID, which wanted to bring something different to the town centre to generate a positive message for the high street; congratulates everyone involved in organising the festival, and looks forward to this event becoming a regular feature on the Falkirk district calendar.
