Retirement of Dr Stephen Brown
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the work of Dr Stephen Brown over the years in the Braes area of Falkirk district; notes that Dr Brown officially stepped down as a GP on 1 July 2019 and will see his surgery merged with Braesview Medical Group in Polmont; welcomes the amalgamation of these surgeries, which will serve more than 10,000 patients and will be overseen by six GPs; understands that the new practice will benefit from a multi-disciplinary team, including a physiotherapist, an on-site mental health nurse, an expanded district nursing team, two practice nurses and two nurse practitioners; congratulates Dr Brown on his long service to his patients and the communities in which he has served; wishes him well in his retirement, and looks forward to the opportunities for expansion that this merger will bring for the Braesview Medical Group.
