Inverclyde Headteacher Receives Prestigious Honour on Retirement
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the outgoing Clydeview Academy principal, Willie Todd, on being presented with the Paul Harris Fellow Award by Boyd Thomson, president of the Rotary Club of Gourock, in recognition of his service to the town; understands that it is the highest honour that a club can bestow on anyone; believes that it is a fitting tribute to the headteacher as he enters retirement; appreciates that Paul was appointed head of Gourock High School in 2008 before taking over the reins of the newly-created Clydeview Academy, which was a result of the school’s merger with Greenock Academy in 2011; recognises that he successfully merged staff and pupils from two of Inverclyde’s biggest and most established schools, and wishes him a happy retirement.
