Polmont Rotary Club Santa Claus Delivers Gifts to Charities in June
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates the work of Polmont Rotary Club in distributing £3,000 to charities, which it raised from its Santa sleigh house-to-house collection in the Braes area of Falkirk district in December 2018; understands that the money was split between Strathcarron Hospice, Muscular Dystrophy Scotland and Macmillan Nurses, each receiving £1,000; commends the club, currently under President Jim Dyer, for its tireless fundraising and community work, including the Santa sleigh collection and its mobile movies service, which takes movies, popcorn and ice cream to care homes in the area; congratulates everyone involved, and wishes the club every success with its work in the community.
