Recognition for Dumbarton Football Hero for 25 Years of Service to the Sport
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates John Rodgers, from Dumbarton, on being awarded the Lifetime Membership Award by the Scottish Amateur Football Association (SAFA) for his 25 years’ service on its committee; understands that John has been involved with the local amateur football club, St Patrick’s, since 1981 and that his achievements during that time included winning the Scottish Amateur Cup in 1990; thanks the 74-year-old football stalwart for his time and dedication to his much loved sport and the wider community over the decades, and wishes him the very best as he continues to participate in local amateur football.
