Castle Douglas Holds Soapbox Derby
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the organisers of the 2019 Castle Douglas Soapbox Derby, which took place on 7 July; notes that thousands of spectators lined the town to cheer on the 23 karts and crews in what was a fun day out for families; believes that it brought a boost to the area's businesses; wishes the organisers all the best for an even bigger and better event in 2020, and encourages the town's residents to get involved in assisting with this.
