The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Natasha Clark, who is a pupil at West Calder High School, on winning the S2 category in the Scottish Engineering Leaders Award; understands that entrants had to answer the question, "If you were an engineer, what would you do?"; notes that Natasha’s design, Chill Band, which was designed for students with autism or anxiety to help them concentrate better in class, was chosen from over 17,000 entries; recognises that the competition is run by the Primary Engineer organisation, and supported by Scottish Engineering, Skills Development Scotland, WEIR Group, the University of Strathclyde and the RAF; understands that the programme enables pupils to interview engineers, identify a problem and design a solution; recognises that the competition enjoys a 50/50 gender split, and wishes Natasha, and all the other entrants, well in their endeavours.
