Peterhead Relay for Life
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates everyone who took part in, and organised, the Peterhead Relay for Life 2019, which raised £144,903 for Cancer Research UK; recognises the research and support that Cancer Research UK provides to individuals and families affected by the disease; notes that the first lap of the annual relay is walked by cancer survivors, with 66 survivors taking part in this year’s event; commends the almost £2 million raised in the town since the event first began 13 years ago, and thanks the organisers, the 32 relay teams and everyone associated with the event for their efforts in making this year’s Peterhead Relay for Life a success.
