New Schools for Winchburgh

Lodged by Neil Findlay Standard Motion 2 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes proposals by West Lothian Council to invest over £60 million in three new schools in Winchburgh; believes that this is one of the largest investment projects in the education estate in Scotland; understands that the plan includes building the first Catholic secondary school in West Lothian in many years, which will replace Holy Family Primary school with a capacity of 231 pupils, and a new non-denominational school with a capacity of 660; considers that this will be beneficial to Winchburgh and the wider area, and wishes the project every success.
