Falkirk, Britain’s Best Walking Neighbourhood
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Falkirk has been voted Britain’s Best Walking Neighbourhood 2019 by the charity, the Ramblers, which promotes walking and the rights of walkers across the UK; notes that there were more than 80 public nominations for the award, which was narrowed down to 10 finalists, and that Falkirk was crowned the winner; believes that the town's rich mixture of natural and constructed sights played a key part in its success, and celebrates that Falkirk, as part of the Central Scotland region, has received due recognition for its scenic walking landscapes.
