The Knightridge Adventure Project, Livingston
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Knightridge Adventure Project, which is based at the Vennie in Livingston, on being awarded £30,000 by the Big Lottery Young Start Fund; acknowledges that the Vennie provides activities for children and young people after school and during the holidays; understands that the money will allow it to refurbish and maintain more bikes for the bike lending library and organise more cycle rides in the community; notes that its bike lending library, which is run by volunteers, will now be able to employ someone to coordinate the cycle-led routes, and maintenance workshops and help the project to grow further; recognises that it was the opinions and ideas of the area's young people that led to the creation of the bike lending library, and wishes the project and all the volunteers well for the future.
