Pure Gym Dundee to Fundraise for Alzheimer Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the efforts of Pure Gym Dundee, which hopes to raise £10,000 for the Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Dog Project on 24-25 August 2019; understands that the 24-hour challenge will see a group of 10 push and pull a total of 10 million kgs, or the equivalent of 1,000 double-decker busses; notes that the project explores how trained dogs can help people to live well with dementia using specially trained live-in assistance dogs, and recognises the importance of community support in the form of fundraisers such as this.
