Epic Climb to Raise Money for the Beatson
The motion
That the Parliament supports college student Georgia MacDonald’s challenge to climb Ben Nevis to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Centre; values the support Georgia is receiving from her friends, Taylor Hughes, Charlene Morton, Stuart English and Aaron Nugent, who are undertaking the climb alongside her; understands this will be the first time Georgia has attempted to climb a mountain; notes that she was inspired to take on the epic climb by her beloved gran, who is currently going through cancer treatment; remembers Georgia's late grandfather, who also received treatment at the centre; commends Georgia for her compassion and humanity, and wishes everyone involved success with their endeavour.
