Grampian Women’s Aid Receives Funding
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes additional lottery funding granted to the Grampian Women’s Aid; understands that a figure of £218,412 has been awarded to the group to support women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; further understands that the money will be put towards the Safer Together project, which aims to work with approximately 300 women, 100 children and 40 volunteers during the two-year lifetime of the grant; notes the impact that funding such as this has on communities, and looks forward to the positive outreach work which will be achieved in the coming months and years.
